All of North Adams Public Schools participate in the Community Eligibility Program. This program allows the district to offer one free breakfast through the USDA National School Breakfast Program and one free lunch through the USDA National School lunch Program to all students daily free of charge.  All other additional food purchases by students must be paid in full with cash or account funds at the time of purchase.

 

Brayton Elementary School utilizes a breakfast in the classroom service delivery model. Each week students pre-order their choice of a main breakfast entrée from a variety of options and choose from a selection of milks. The breakfast entrée and milk choices are delivered daily to classrooms. Each breakfast is served with two different serving of fruit and an extra grain such as a graham cracker is provided two days a week. 

 

Brayton Elementary School, Colegrove Park Elementary School, and Greylock Elementary School all participate in the USDA Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. This program offers one serving of fresh fruit or vegetable to students daily at no charge based on classroom schedules.

Brayton Elementary School, Colegrove Park Elementary School, and Greylock Elementary School participate in the USDA After School Snack Program. Students that participate in North Adams Schools 21st Century After School Programming can choose a healthy snack free of charge when the program is in session.

 

We encourage parents and guardians to utilize MySchoolBucks.com to manage student meal accounts and to deposit money into their account electronically. Student account deposits and payments are also accepted at school cafeterias.

To file a program complaint of discrimination, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, (AD-3027) found online at: Filing a Program Discrimination Complaint as a USDA Customer, and at any USDA office, or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form.
