Description
Teach to Learn Cooperating Teachers will work with local college students to deliver a standards-based science curriculum designed to engage students in active learning around multiple units. This half-year position serves as a guide to the students in the classroom as well as for the college students who assist with the content delivery. Participants will work one to two days per week for 2 hours per day.

Requirements
CURRENT NAPS KINDERGARTEN TEACHER

Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively with MCLA or Williams College students to teach lessons developed in support of the NGSS and MA Science Curriculum Frameworks.
• Attend kick-off meeting and professional development sessions (1 mtg/year), 90 minutes.
• Teacher roles include the preparation of materials for the implementation of the science lessons/units for the classroom, including the notification to the Curriculum Supplies Coordinator of needed materials a minimum of 2 working days prior to the delivery of the content.
• Mentor MCLA or Williams College students in their instructional delivery
• Proactive communication (text, email, or calls) to science fellow pairs in support of weekly lesson delivery is expected.
• Debrief lesson upon completion in order to support student development of skills as it applies to both the college and classroom student level.
