Description
Contracted service provider to supervise residential special education placements through the IEP team and process. Knowledge of special education and student systems of support required. Knowledge of and experience with leading special education team meetings. Coordination of relationships between the student, family, outside service provider and school community is an expectation of the role.

Must possess the following:

Knowledge of special education, cognitive development and individual learning needs; a focus on childhood trauma and comorbidity of mental health issues and disabilities;

Supervise residential placements

Working knowledge and understanding of the requirements through federal and state laws, specifically IDEA;

Ability to work with school and district administration in program development and evaluation of services;

Ability to work with multiple service agencies and serve as liaison to outside service agencies and residential programs;

Ability to engage with families and school community;

Ability to develop and manage instructional programs including, transportation and facilitate student transitions;

Knowledge of and experience with leading special education team meetings;

Prepare reports as required and maintain all pertinent filed;

Experience developing student systems of support for academic and behavioral intervention;

Performs any duties related thereto.

Supervision: Reports to the Superintendent and the Director of Student Support Services.

This position is for the school year only.

Requirements
Must possess the following:

Master's Degree in Special Education, Special Education Administration preferred.

Current certification in Special Education or in Special Education Administration.

Minimum of 5 years experience working with special education students.

Salary
Contracted service of $75.00 per hour, including travel time to meetings.
