While we still do not have a confirmed presumptive diagnosis of COVID-19 for any students or staff members, we are exercising the use of one of our emergency (snow) days to support this prevention measure.
The district website, www.napsk12.org/at-home-activities/, has information for accessing online resources for recommended learning activities for families and to support continued learning at home. This information also includes information on COVID-19 and how to engage your children on the topic.
Maintaining good personal hygiene practices of washing your hands, “social distancing”, and using sneezing and coughing etiquette practices can prevent you and your child from being infected.
Continued surveillance of attendance and monitoring of symptoms is critical to containing the spread of COVID-19. When school is in session, please notify your child’s school of absences due to illness and quarantine.
Upcoming Events--As we implement the recommendations for limiting exposure please note that:
Drury High School will remain as a testing site for the SATs for the College Board this Saturday.
UPDATE: Drury High School Cheerleaders competition has been CANCELLED.
UPDATE: The athletic teams for spring sports for tryouts and practices and we will adhere to guidance from the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association (MIAA) regarding guidance for spring games.
POSTPONED to Monday, March 30th. Will be re-evaluated closer to the date for a possible extension.
Because the day tomorrow is within our 185 days (180 required school days and 5 emergency days) all staff and students will need to make up the day at the end of the school year just like the use of a weather related day.
This is an evolving situation and you should also remain connected to your child’s school for updated information. Please go to the district and school websites, insure that your current contact number is in the school information system, and use our social media site at North Adams Public Schools on Facebook for announcements. Thank you.
