About Our PreKindergarten

North Adams Public Schools offers a Prekindergarten Program located in each elementary school. Prekindergarten runs from Monday to Friday during the school year. The program offers a preschool experience for students who turn three or four by August 31st. There are morning sessions from 8:40 a.m. -11:15 a.m. and afternoon sessions from 11:55 a.m. -2:25 p.m. We also have a full-day program exclusively for four-year-olds that runs from 8:40 a.m. to 2:25 p.m. Our program is integrated with special education students as well as typical students. The program includes arts and crafts projects, themed units, fine and gross motor skills, whole group and small group academic activities, singing, dramatic play, and social skills. A breakfast and lunch program is also available.

Our PreK program operates rolling admission based on when students turn three or four. There is a registration each spring for new students entering in the fall. For more information, please contact our registration coordinator.
