Remote Learning Resources
Parent Resources Regarding Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) Recently Released Prerequisite Standards Guide for Elementary and Secondary Students
In late April, DESE released two guides that would help to steer the remote learning plans for Massachusetts students. Below is a link to the two guides that address the key standards students will need at each grade level in order to be prepared for the next grade. These are only a small portion of the standards we work with each year; however, these standards build skills required for future work. To that end, our curriculum committee worked to examine the overlap of the prerequisite standards and how we can use the first weeks of school to address gaps and determine performance levels and “ownership of skills”. I encourage all parents to look at the appropriate grade span document and if there are questions, please reach out to me via email at kroberts-morandi@napsk12.org or phone at 413-776-1667.
Thank you.

Ways to keep prevention in mind
Hand washing guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Follow these five steps every time.
Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.
Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.
Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.
Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.
Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.
