SEL/Mental Health Special Project Team (8)

Location: Brayton, Colegrove Park, Greylock Elementary Schools, and Drury High School.

Stipend: $1,000

Description: The SEL/Mental Health Special Project Team members will work independently and collaboratively outside of the school day to research, design, plan, and/or implement Social Emotional Learning and/or Mental Health interventions. Special projects can include:

·         Project 351 / Anti-bullying Playbook Initiative

·         Planning for interventions/student-led problem solving regarding controversial issues and challenges with school climate and culture

·         Designing and implementing standards-aligned flex-time or WIN block academic and/or SEL interventions within a Multi-Tiered System of Support

·         Completing Massachusetts Partnership for Youth workshops/programming

·         Reviewing SEL curriculum materials for use in schools

·         Other SEL/MH projects as proposed by the educator

Members of the special project team will complete most of the work asynchronously, with no more than two required meetings outside of the school day to ensure alignment to district priorities.

Qualifications:         

This opportunity is available to all classroom teachers, special educators, coordinators/directors, guidance counselors, and school adjustment counselors.

Anticipated start date: ASAP.

Pertinent information: This position is for the school year only and is for approximately 30 hours total.
