Dear Families,
We’re writing to invite you to participate in our upcoming Family Learning Walks at one or more of our school buildings.
Family Learning Walks will include a guided observation of the building that will look at classroom learning and identify high-level trends throughout the building. As a group, families will visit 4 classrooms for approximately 20 minutes each. Families will use the same district tool that our leadership team uses during their learning walks and there will be a debrief afterward. Each learning walk is scheduled for 2 hours and families will need to commit to the entire block of time.
These Walk-Throughs are a chance for families to participate closely in observation of students’ classroom learning experiences and engagement with content. Family Walk-Throughs are not a general tour of the building or an opportunity for families to specifically observe their own child in class.
Learning Walk Schedule:
Brayton Elementary School: Monday, May 11th, 10 AM–12 PM
Drury High School: Wednesday, May 13th, 9–11 AM
Colegrove Park Elementary School: Thursday, May 28th, 12:30–2:30 PM
