We are pleased and excited to inform you that the North Adams Public School District will
continue to implement the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2022—2023 school year. What this means is that through this program, ALL NAPS students will continue to be eligible for one school breakfast and lunch daily at NO COST. This means that no Free and Reduced Lunch Application will be required!!
We are writing to share this information with you and to ask that you help us to ensure our meal
program is a success by having your child participate in school breakfast and lunch everyday.
Why? Because an emerging body of research has documented that eating breakfast at school
helps improve a child’s academic performance, student behavior, and improve nutrition while
decreasing the risk of obesity. Participating in both breakfast and lunch at school provides
nutritious food for your children so they can concentrate better and learn more while saving you time and money at home.
We hope you will continue to participate in the NAPS school community in supporting this
exciting meal program!!
